Lisa Leonard, Chef and Baker
Alias: Aunt Cake

The story behind Aunt Cake...
Hello, my REAL name is Lisa Leonard, aka "Aunt Cake." My two beautiful nieces are credited with my nickname "Aunt Cake." Every time they would come over to stay the weekend they "claim" I always had cake or sweet things to eat. For the record that isn't all they ate!
It all began standing on my mom's chair rolling out dough for cookies when I was a 5 or 6 years old. Since then, I have gained 20 years of professional culinary and baking experience since graduating in 2003. I hold three Associates Degrees from Westmoreland County Community College: Culinary Arts, Baking and Pastry, and Food Service Management. I have been a chef and baker in the corporate and private arena. You get the best of both worlds with me, which is a rare combo in this industry.
A life changing event occurred in 2006 that paused my culinary career. For the next few years, I pivoted to a different career. However, it doesn't fill my heart the way food does.
I am back to share my love of food and laughter with the rest of the world. What I enjoy most is seeing others gather around food and share recipes and stories with one another. You cannot find this kind of a relationship in corporate kitchen.
Host me in your kitchen and let me teach you and your family how to cook and bake memories feed generations to come.
